Diversity and Unity
February 2026
My name is R.R. I was born in 1994 into a Hindu family. My parents were staunch followers of Hinduism. Though we faithfully served our gods hoping for a peaceful and meaningful life, we never found peace. Rather, we always had great struggles in our life and constant misunderstanding between my parents. Because of this environment, I become an atheist. At one point, I even thought of ending my life, but the Lord Jesus had a different plan for me.
One day, a close friend who was familiar with my situation invited me to attend Sunday church service. That day the pastor preached on the theme, “come to me you weary and burdened,” from Matthew 11:28–30. As I listened to the Word of God, I experienced peace in my heart. I could feel joy come into my life and my weariness and burdens were gone. That day, I encountered the true and living God who gives peace and meaning to life. On May 3, 2019, I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior.
I shared my faith with my parents, but they did not accept me. Over time, they saw the remarkable change in my life and they stared to believe, as well. On 24th August, 2019, my whole family got baptized in the church.
Over the next few months my faith grew stronger. I felt a calling from God to share the hope of Christ with those who feel lost and hopeless. In the end of 2019, I joined church members in sharing the gospel with my community. We preached and prayed for people in the marketplaces, nearby villages, and hospital. Many experienced healing and deliverance from evil spirits. Later, I became involved in a ministry to the sick and poor, providing medical treatment, physical support, counseling, prayers, and financial help to the needy. Through this ministry, many souls have come to Christ.
To be more effective in ministry, I knew I needed know God’s Word better. So, I prayed to receive training. My pastor suggested Acts training to me and I attend the training cycle in 2025. I thank Acts for this privilege. The training has given me understanding of the Bible, reshaped my faith, and strengthened my ministry. My vision now is to reach weary and burdened souls with the love of Christ, focusing on hospital ministry and planting a church in my community.
